Welcome to the Agape Light Photography blog!

What does Agape Light mean?

Agape {uh-gah-pay} (n.) : Is the greek word for the active, unfailing, unchanging, unconditional, volitional, self-sacrificial and often ineffable love of God. Photography is impossible without light, and we seek to honor God in all that we do, walking as children of the light of His love.

Agape Light Photography is a creative business owned by sisters Brittany and Brandee Rees from Blue Grass, IA. Brandee is earning her B.F.A in Graphic Design, English and Art History at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. She has had a camera in hand since she was a little girl. She is a lover of light and the way photography can capture the wonder she sees everywhere, and specializes in stop motion animation videos that incorporate photography and music. Brittany is a writer earning her B.A. in English and Art History at Lipscomb. She is a columnist for Lipscomb Unviersity's Babbler and freelance writes for publications in the Nashville area.
We are a creative team specializing in weddings, babies, seniors and family portraits- but we're available for all kinds of work! We also do graphic design work such as logos, brochures, cards and invitations, as well as freelance writing.

We want to bless others with the gifts and talents that God has given us, and use our creativity to bring Him glory.

Agape Light Photography is in the Quad Cities for the summer months! We are planning some portrait parties and other events to fundraise for our trip to Israel at the end of the year. Details to come. This blog will feature some of our recent work and let everyone know what we're up to!

If you would like to request information or book a portrait shoot you can email us at agapelightphotography@gmail.com.

Our website [agapelightphotography.com] is in the works and will be ready soon! You can also visit the Agape Light Photography page on facebook!
